2025 Leaf Collection: Rules & Reminders
Leaf Collection: Oct. 20 – Dec. 12
- Leaf collection is the main priority during this season. Village DPW crew will continue to pick up yard debris (as time allows with no set schedule).
- Please ensure your leaves are set out as early as possible. Crews will not collect individualized piles in any given area/street of the village that are set out after collection in that area has been completed. Individualized piles set out for collection after pick-up in that area will be collected during the next collection run of that area.
- Brush and yard debris will only be collected during this time (as time allows) if it is separated from your leaf piles.
- Grass clippings, weeds and small yard debris will only be collected if placed in a container or paper bag. Container weight limits still apply.
- Loose brush size and weight specifications still apply during this time.
- Please note for addresses with both leaf and brush piles set out for pick-up, that both separated respective piles will likely not be collected at the same time. Due to the different equipment needed for both tasks and leaf collection being the main priority, you may notice your brush being collected at a later time.
- Leaves and yard debris must be separated, as yard debris can damage our leaf vacuum and could potentially cause injury to a crew member.
- Debris piles that have not been separated will not be collected.
