About Resolutions of the Board of Trustees
The Village Board of Trustees can conduct certain official business through the adoption of resolutions. A resolution is a formal action of the Board that records and authorizes decisions related to the administration, operations, and governance of the Village.
Resolutions are typically used to address matters that do not require the adoption of a local law. They may be introduced and adopted at the same meeting and, unless otherwise specified, take effect immediately upon approval.
Common purposes for resolutions include:

✅ Recognizing individuals, organizations, or events of community significance (often referred to as a "Proclamation")
